Kidding about the EA's
Naww, I was being facetious about the EA's, making a joke only. People doing tax work usually don't live the life of the rich and famous!
For books about taxation and S. Corps., you might want to get a CPE on prepartion of the S. Corp. return from http://www.cpenow.com/ Try looking under the Self-Study courses. CrowJD 21:48, 1 September 2008 (CDT)
Series 6 exam
Hi, you might want to check out HD Vest. They work with EAs, and I have been with them for 15 years - very good relationship. I can have them send you info if you want. Kevinh5
Your CPE question will be moved (later)
I'll move your CPE question over to the Business Growth (& Practice Management) forum late this evening - we're trying to keep all questions about earning and maintaining CPA/EA/other credentials there, along with the various discussions about practice building and maintenance. But let's let the evening crowd have a look at it first...

Moved your "difficult client" discussion to Bus Gr
Hi, I have moved your question to the Business Growth Community Forum, since that's where we're trying to organize all of the Practice Management and Growth questions (also EA/CPA exam, starting a practice, etc.). There's been quite a lot of traffic on that forum over the past few days, as everyone's trying to figure out how to improve their practices now that we're past the 15th, so you shouldn't worry about getting fewer responses; in fact you may even get more responses there!
I also did delete your auto rental discussion; thanks for confirming that you were trying to get rid of it. If you need more background/assistance on using the site, there's some good info in these links: FAQ, an Overview of TaxAlmanac, Hints and Tips on How to Search on TaxAlmanac, Policies, Code of Conduct, and also, of course, Help. But to delete a question altogether, you do need to contact either Kevinh5, TDoyle, or me.
Thanks,

moved your licensing question to Business Growth
Hi - I've moved your discussion about licensing and bad credit over to the Business Growth Forum, and out of the tax forum. As a general rule, if the question you're going to ask isn't a tax question (applying or interpreting tax regulations, for example), then you should start it in one of the other forums. Many of your questions end up in the Business Growth forum, so that maybe should be your default starting point to ask a new question, but you can also consult the Discussion Forum Index to help you determine the appropriate place.

Code of Conduct Violation
According to item 10 of the TaxAlmanac Code of Conduct, you may only delete and/or edit your own discussion posts. You may not remove those of others. Therefore, the edits you made to three discussions today will be reverted, since they involved you deleting someone else's posts. And from now on, please do not edit responses contributed by other users (other than for minor typos or links, e.g.).
There's not really anything you can do to stop a particular user from posting on discussions you started (that's a wild guess about why you might have wanted to edit somebody else's posts) but I suppose you could put a note on their talk page if you've got a problem with the responses they give you.
Thanks,

Response rate for mailier
Hi Agham12,
I'm also considering sending out direct mailers to individuals with tax problems and I'd appreciate it if you could let me know what your response rate is? I understand if you don't want to provide this information, but it's a pretty big investment for me. Thank you.
