My client is an Australian permanent resident who is the single member of a Delaware LLC. The LLC is earning advertising revenues from US companies that are deposited in a US bank account. The blogs (his business) are operated in Australia.

It is my understanding that he needs to file 1040NR only if he was "engaged in a business or a trade in the United States" for 2006. I am not sure how to interpret this statement. Any help would be appreciated.
