Discussion Forum Index --> Test Area --> S-Corp's first 1120S and Amortization vs Capitalization
| 5 May 2008 | |
| I am preparing my first S-Corp return for a friend's first S-Corp return. As I said, this is for a friend, or I wouldn't be doing it at all. I must admit, I'm a little confused. Form 1120S instructions say to capitalize some of the expenses. I don't understand the difference between capitalization and amortization. I would really appreciate someone letting me know the difference and how to enter the amounts. I also need to know how or where to enter the election statement in the Intuit Pro-series. | |
