Looks like the potential fees for this may end the recession:

What's the interest on $500 million? I would think that these creditors will move as fast as possible to assert themselves.

His music and videos are flying off the shelf, but how long will this last, realistically?

I would guess that the "Jackson Camp" will wallow in public and private confusion for some time. So, the question is whether their lawyers (when they finally end up with some competent ones) will have the time to work for all the drama going on around these people.

Oh my God, the plot seems to be thickening regarding the children.

You have to watch this MJ news like the old stock ticker.

And, even if Jackson's mother ends up with the children, it must be remembered that shes pretty old, and from what I've seen she's a bit of a religious nut. Seems that this will almost guarantee that if she gets the children, they will be Luney Tunes characters.

What a mess.

Define "pretty old."

Looks like Crow bout to eat some Crow. I would personally define old as anyone that is older than dirt, but hey, that's me.

You know what gets me with all this pandering about Michael's "Legacy" is that the people forget about the child molestation charges and the freakish behaviour. The entertainment news people say that his legacy needs to be balanced between these two things. Hell no it doesn't. the man, plain and simple is a friggin freak. The fact that he cut his nuts off at an early age and can hit the high note does not make him a decent human being worthy of a legacy.

Natalie, they say that Joe, the father, is 80. I think the mother is in her mid to late '70s.

They keep saying on TV today how much money the Jackson estate will make from all this attention. Record sales booming, and all that.

I think it's a flash in the pan. If it lasts a year, I'd be quite surprised. Unless he has some actual new recordings stashed away.

I do not think the Jackson estate will do as well year after year as the Elvis Presley estate has done. Simply because the "Elvis" fans tend to be older white women with money who grew up in the '50s...they have had the money to spend to keep "Elvis" going year after year. When these ladies pass on, I don't even think Elvis will be all that. Even though I love some of his music as a feller (but not enough to travel to Graceland to worship the "King", lol).

I misread your post above -- I thought you said the mother (meaning Debbie) was pretty old.

I don't think Elvis amassed the debt that Jackson did with all the lawsuits, "hangers on" and frivolous spending that was done by Michael Jackson. As a teenager, I worked for someone who worked for Elvis as a tour manager. Some good old boy (whose name I actually remember to this day 30+ years later). His office had some pictures of him and Elvis, but surprisingly not many. He said he had a whole bunch, but he just wasn't going to put them up. The day Elvis died, he was so upset, you thought his dad passed away.

It turns out Jackson's net worth is estimated to be over $200 million.

Some other rumors are flying around about if he is the biological father of the kids, whether or not Debbie Rowe is the mother, etc. You couldn't write a more bizarre Hollywood script and make it plausible.

What a freak show.

I personally believe that both Elvis and Michael are still alive. And that OJ was innocent.

right.

Lol, David.

Elvis came from Redneck Ave. Whereas Jackson hailed from Hood Rat Lane. So they both had some baggage to deal with. Especially as concerns family, and lack of judgment.

But, I'll say this for Elvis, as far as I know, he paid his bills.

Michael Jackson was notorious for not paying his bills. Of course, this begs the question of why people continued to deal with him, since everyone knew that he had no ethics.

To me, the key to the future of the Jackson estate hinges on the financial means of his fans. I would take Elvis' middle class aged white woman any day over Jackson's fickle younguns. Once the husband dies, the ladies can spend it all on Elvis.

People were curious about Michael Jackson because he was a freak, whereas Elivs was worshipped as a sex symbol (even at 200lbs. overweight). Err, sex sells.

Elvis died at a younger age than Michael. (Who would want to have sex with Michael, Crow? - probably a groupie)

In any event, I was wondering today at lunch, while they announced that Michael's will had been filed for probate, WHY did he not have a trust (esp. in California)?

But with all of his debts, maybe going through probate is a good thing, as it will time bar late filed claims.

Why did ya'll have to put that thought into my head, a woman who really wants to have sex with Michael? EWE! EWE! EWE! I'm sorry but that is such a (yuk!) disgusting thought. I would think not even a groupie would want to have sex with him. Unless if he paid her. Now I cannot even get that thought out of my mind. And I would not go to Elvis' Estate either.

Genskitty (talk|edits) said:

Fred I do want a hunka hunka of burning love. Just not Elvis' hunka hunka of burning love. In fact I have mine own hunka hunka of burning love.

Please, have respect the dead, "for no one know for whom the bell tolls."

That bell may toll for thee.

FYI, Elvis died pretty broke. He had a lot of hangers-on that didn't do him any good either, include ole Col. Tom. Priscilla discovered a goldmine by opening up Graceland for tours, and the rest is history.

Fsteincpa (talk|edits) said:

I hope you are not asking us to have respect for Michael Jackson. There is no respect deserved there. The man was sick and twisted and an accused child molester who paid off the family to get off. I personally hope the man rots in hell for all eternity.

Michael's first accuser lied also.

Google the name JORDAN CHANDLER and reached your own conclusion.

Why would anyone wish anyone else to rot in hell, and not wish for his soul to be in heaven? Not a very good thing to wish for.

Fsteincpa (talk|edits) said:

because i believe children are sacred and my belief from following the stories way back when were that he did bad things to kids. I'm sorry if that makes me a bad person, but someone who screws with kids deserves damnation not salvation.

Now granted, i also accept that if he truly did not do it, then yes, I would hope he is in heaven. Good thing it's not me who is the judge, cause in my mind he is guilty.
