| Almanacers,
A client of mine was a single member LLC in 2008. There was an investor that took 49% ownership for 2009. I am thinking they should be a multi member LLC taxed as a C corp. I am assuming I need to file the form 8832. 1) Does this mean an new EIN will have to be received? 2) Do stock shares have to be purchased when you are a multi member LLC taxed as a C corp? 3) When should we inform the IRS that the single member LLC is now a multi member LLC that wants to be taxed as an C corp? Please inform. | |
