| This is my 1st return with a 2009 home purchase and Lacerte's diagnostics says that I have to file it as a paper return "until the IRS system is updated, the reutrn will be rejected with a credit amount greater than 7,500 and must be filed as a paper return." Are we really waiting for the IRS to update or is it just waiting for Lacerte to update? Has anyone else been able to e-file one of these 2009 purchases? My client is in a real hurry for the cash so if it's just a Lacerte thing then I'll suggest he go someplace else so he can e-file now, but if it really is the IRS then nobody can e-file now and he can either wait or file a paper return. | |

| Just in case anyone else comes across this, I called Lacerte and they the IRS hasn't updated the system yet so nobody can e-file one of those returns. He also said it is not high priortiy for the IRS so it might be a while.
Side note - I seldom have to call Lacerte & I've heard many people complain about the wait time when calling, but I was only on hold for less than one minute. | |
