I am leaving a job with a company and purchasing a distributorship. I will be selling a product for a well known company, but will not be "employed" for the company. I will be classified as "self-employed". Any tips on becoming self-employed would be appreciated, i.e. health and disability insurance options, computer software to track expenses, etc. for tax purposes, tax deductions allowed, etc. Thanks.
