Messages on TaxAlmanac

Hello! A couple of hints...

1. Your message was "mixed" with mine on Sandy's page because you didn't enter a heading to yours. The small box at the top when you click to send a message is where you enter a Name or Topic, and that's what adds the heading.

2. You can "sign" your messages to others by typing four tilde characters at the end, like this: ~~~~. That will add your signature and a link back to your user page. You can see what this does by looking at my signature at the bottom of this message. I didn't type all that in, I just typed the four characters.

3. Messages left on someone's talk page can be seen by anyone, so it's probably not a good idea to leave your phone number of email address there.

4. Provided both you and the person you are trying to reach have entered your email addresses in your preferences here on TaxAlmanac (see the top line to go to your preferences), then you should be able to click "E-mail this user" on the very left of the person's talk page to send them a private email.

Hope this helps!!

Hi yogafan,

Left a message about the 1099 on the forum :)

Thank you for your kind words...I try to have a good sense of humor but somedays it is tough...hehe

I don't mind LEGAL aliens taking the jobs our lazy population won't me that is what makes the USA problem is the illegals who get paid, don't file returns and steal identities with fake SS#' is a huge problem in Florida as you know and you are correct; the European, Canadian and Brazilian population especially in the trades is booming.

I am very interested in International Taxation and focus alot of my research on that aspect of taxation. When I see a hard working tradesman who is a USA resident and legal get hit with all kinds of taxes/fees, etc for the right to work legally and I see 5 Mexican men living in the same house, illegals mind taxes nothing but socking away bucks it angers me :)

Welcome here by the way :)

Thank you!

Hello Susana:

Thank you for your comments! I too am addicted to it, but from the viewpoint of upgrading, enhancing, and thinking about ways to make it better. It's only been in existence for a year and a half, and we're still learning. The best part about TaxAlmanac is the wonderful and knowledgeable community that has formed here. It wouldn't be nearly as good without everyone who joins in here.

Unfortunately, there isn't a way to view the discussions in reverse order, but I can see why that might be important. I'll add this to my list of enhancements that people have suggested, but I can't guarantee anything. We have a lot that needs updating around here, and we're still learning and growing.

Welcome to TaxAlmanac, and please stick around!

Sorry. Other than the forums, the site is a little confusing. I'm in So. Florida.

What went wrong

I saw your edit that disappeared. Basically, each edit has to start with the two "{" characters and also must end with two "}" characters. These are added automatically when you reply using the form. You're free to edit the page as long as you keep the basic format structure the same. When you added the links, you removed the ending two "}" characters, and so it no longer displayed properly. I added them back in and viola! Your post is back.
