Welcome

Hello Ron, and welcome to TaxAlmanac! My name is Tim Doyle and I serve here in the role of TaxAlmanac Moderator. I saw that you added information about yourself to this page, but I've moved it to your [[User:Rontaxcpa|user] page and have set up this discussion page so others can easily leave you messages if they want to. Nothing wrong with where you added it - just moving it to the location that better matches the arrangement that we have been using.

If you haven't done so already, you might want to review our Quick Start Guide to help you get oriented.

You might also want to add something to your own user page so that others will know a little about you.

If you can think of anything we can do to make TaxAlmanac a more useful resource to you, please feel free to give us your feedback.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a member of the TaxAlmanac community! If you have any questions, see the help pages or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!

Arizona State Tax Return

Hello Ron:

I found you on a search for Arizona Residents. I have a questions for you on Arizona State tax return. I have a taxpayer who lives (all 12 months) and works in Florida. His wife lives in Arizona and only other source of income is social security. They own a home together.

Does he have to file a 140NR because it is a community property state and divide his total income from his job in 1/2?

Question - Saw on your profile debt resolutions. Can you tell me more about it or direct me to a website that I can read upon.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Arizona state retirement system income for nonresident

Hi Ron.

Thanks for offering to answer questions.

Could you tell me if income received (by an Arizona nonresident, who resides in Indiana now) from the Arizona state retirement system (ASRS) would be taxable by Arizona and require the Indiana resident to file an Arizona tax return? Taxpayer taught in the Arizona school system and has now reached the age of 65. She has received information indicating ASRS will withold 5%.

Thank you so much,

Jessica
