Welcome

Hello, and welcome to TaxAlmanac! My name is Tim Doyle and I serve here in the role of TaxAlmanac Moderator. If you haven't done so already, you might want to review our Quick Start Guide to help you get oriented.

Sort Function

Thank you for leaving the question on my talk page about the new sort functionality.

To sort the columns, there are actually three options.

  1. Click on the column title for the default sort
  2. Click on the up arrow for a descending sort
  3. Click on the down arrow for an ascending sort

So to view all of the discussions with no replies, you would want to click on the down arrow to the right of the column title.

Keep in mind that many of these are going to be very old, and the people who asked the questions are most likely not still waiting on an answer.

Please let me know if you have any other questions or comments.

Unread Threads

You asked: Is there a way to only show unread threads and then identify ones you would like to keep? The answer is no, not currently. You can use the bookmark feature to mark certain discussions - see the FAQ entry for this.

s corp income reporting

thank you for your answer on how to report the income. I warned the client about not taking a salary, but he claims he did nothing in the business, he just call the contrators to do the work. He has a full time job. But when he wanted to take mileage expense, I said how did to visits the job sites to take mileage when you claim you didn't do anything? Am I right? He did have to go for the closings, don't you think his time would have been compensated. Now he wants to take the money out of the business bank account as a dividend, again I warned him that they might consider this wages not dividends. I love it when they want it all....

Again, thanks for your answer, have a great season,

SEBROFS
