Self Employed Health Insurance Deduction

Hello. I was reading through the string concerning the above mentioned deduction. I recently started a new LLC with my girlfriend. My insurance premiums are billed to me as an individual. Can I still take the "above line" deduction if the bills are not in the company name being that it is an LLC?

Thanks, Chris

How to fix your discussion titles

Hi, it looks like you had a problem with a discussion title just now, and ended up starting a duplicate discussion rather than fixing the original title. Renaming a discussion is not that hard, it's just tough to find out how to do it when you need it. So, for the future:

  • Open the discussion
  • Click on the "move" tab at the top, over to the right of the screen, before "bookmark this page."
  • In the second of the two title boxes, make the changes you need (the first box shows the original title). Just be sure to keep "Discussion:" at the start of the name, including the colon, as that's what sorts it into the forum index.
  • Click the "move page" button.

I've deleted your empty duplicate discussion, but knowing how to just fix the title after the fact might save you some time in the future.

Hope that helps. There's other similar info on editing, using the forum, etc., on the FAQ, for your reading enjoyment (after tax season, I'm sure!).
