User names can include spaces
Hi, and welcome to Tax Almanac, the free online tax research resource and community for tax professionals.
Here are some good links for familiarizing yourself with TaxAlmanac: Policies, Code of Conduct, FAQ, Hints and Tips on How to Search on TaxAlmanac, and last but by no means least, a very thorough and insightful description of the Purpose and Use of TaxAlmanac by one of the regular users, which includes even more helpful links. Also, please provide some info about your background as a tax professional on your Profile page (user page). Select edit at the top of that page, replace the boilerplate with your info, and then click Save page.
Did you know that user names can include spaces? There's no need to run two words together as you have, and having spaces in the user name allows the name to wrap within the various columns of the discussion boards.
For an extreme example of how much long user names can mess up the formatting of the boards, see page 25 of the Tax Questions discussion board. If there are no spaces in the name, the long user name stretches out the "creator" and "last poster" columns to fit, and the "topic" column - which should be the widest - has to shrink to make up the difference. Click over to page 27, you'll see that having spaces in a user name (e.g., PE Financial Group) allows the name to wrap, rather than stretching the columns. (If you are reading this more than a day or two after Oct 3, those page numbers may not be exactly correct, since new posts push the old ones back.)
Your user name only has 11 characters, but since they're all caps, they'll take up more space and be more likely to stretch the columns than a shorter/lower case name would. Since you've just recently signed up, and haven't established any history as of yet - you could easily just sign up again with a different user name (shorter, or with spaces). The other users would really appreciate it!
