Tara - do me a favor

E-mail me off the forum. We will get too far off track. My personal e-mail address is available on my user page. TomTaocpa 13:08, 3 March 2008 (CST)

Your question

It seems to me your lack of response leads me to believe you posted a homework question. If you did and I answered it, you wasted my time when I was under the impression you were assisting a client. If that's the case, you were deceptive. This is not the place for us to answer homework questions. If you did lie, I will contact the moderator and have you banned from the site. My apologies.

Tara, I did answer your question. Many of us on the forum are trying to keep homework questions out. I am usually not the board pit bull, but a jokester and I try to be lighthearted. But a couple of previous posters prior to you got on my one last good nerve. Unfortunately, it seems I chose the wrong moment to zero in on you after they posted and some of us got burned. See this discussion to see what I mean: Discussion:Recording the acquisition of an Insurance Agency But also by your own admission in your profile you are still studying for the 150 hour requirement. Here are some clues we use to sniff out homework questions: Your matter seemed urgent (it was and I even gave you my private e-mail address, but yet you didn't respond), rounded dollars, e.g. $64,000 (I've done hundreds of business loan closings, never have my j/e's ever ended in rounded $$$$) and always the student is looking for a journal entry. Those are sometimes tell-tale signs to us of a homework poster.

I apologize wholeheartedly and do not seek to have you banned. That I don't and won't do. It was a mistake on my part. I ask for your forgiveness. You are more than welcome to join in the discussion and welcome to the board. TomTaocpa 12:48, 10 March 2008 (CDT)

Got your e-mail

Tara-I got your e-mail. Look for one shortly from me...TomTaocpa 08:18, 11 March 2008 (CDT)

One last thing - I won't delete my discussions here (although I could). I want people to know I am human as well and make mistakes. Tom

Give me a call....

Look at my e-mails to you. You have my phone # in there. Call me. I'll help you. TomTaocpa 07:25, 31 March 2008 (CDT)
