Merging?
I don't have the ability to merge, sorry. The only thing I can do it to change one account name to another, and even that doesn't alter the old postings. I'd suggest you might want to go to the old account use page and tell people you have a new account and link to it.

Like Kind Exchange
Hello SunGod,
Thanks for the reply to my post. I would love to take a look at the spreadsheet that you have. I created my own, but it would be great to compare. I need help booking the journal entries. Do you really have a standard spreadsheet for the calculation? I think that would be awesome to have! I confess that I somewhat re-create the calculation for each transaction.
