DNI

No, Jennifer, I did not exactly receive any good info on this. However, as stated in some of the posts, I believe "simple trusts" are required to distribute since the K-1 recipient is responsible for the tax. My question pertained to DNI versus how much actually should be distributed...guiding me to trust docs, etc. I received very little constructive input.

I appreciate your frustration as I feel it as well. Lawyer's set these things up and we are left to deal with it. I have advised my client of my "gut feel" as to what is required, and advised him that perhaps he should seek other counsel. Of course since he is the sole benefactor, he does not wish to pay for a large CPA firm (one with more experience in this area) to handle his situation.

Sorry, I know this is not the best response, but it's late and near the end of the filing season.
