Sorry I did not reply sooner- I had to figure out how to do a reply! So far I have not charged for the plan itself. In 2 instances I created the plan & used the summary to start a dialog to meet later. So far one has done that and it resulted in some good projects. I think the other will later in the summer. The other 2 were for small business owners/ friends that I wanted to do to help me figure out how to deliver the reports. With the templates I have just presented the material & checklists along with encouragement to visit their attorney if they wanted his advice. I will not fill in the blanks and I tell the client it is because I am not an attorney. It's a fine line for sure. I think I will create some select plans this summer to help solidify tax planning engagements, so in a round about way that's how I'll charge. When marketing new clients I think the summary will give me a black & white example of how I can relate & help thier business- we'll see. I figured for the monthly fee I can experiment for a few months to see if and how it works best. Good luck! Barry
