Hello Dave - welcome to TaxAlmanac! My name is Tim Doyle and I serve here in the role of TaxAlmanac Moderator. If you haven't done so already, you might want to review our Quick Start Guide to help you get oriented.
As you begin to interact on TaxAlmanac, your changes will be linked to your personal user page. We encourage you to edit this page and add a short description about yourself. This will allow others to better understand your background and qualifications as they review any replies or information that you submit.
If you have tax-related questions, we encourage you to add them in our Tax Questions Discussion Forum. We also suggest that you introduce yourself to the other members of the TaxAlmanac community on the User Introduction Discussion Forum.
If you can think of anything we can do to make TaxAlmanac a more useful resource to you, please feel free to give us your feedback on the TaxAlmanac Feedback Discussion Forum.

Hi, Dave, I see you've been a member of TaxAlmanac since March 2006 - welcome back!
A lot of things have changed since TA was first started - so here are some good links for refamiliarizing yourself with TaxAlmanac:
Code of Conduct, Policies, FAQ, and Hints and Tips on How to Search on TaxAlmanac.
Also, we now have individual user pages - called profiles - that can be accessed by the other users by clicking any username in a discussion. To get to yours, click your own name in a discussion, or up at the top center of your screen (or here: Profile).
Questions from users who haven't provided any information on their profile are often ignored, and also they are subject to being moved out of the Tax or Accounting Forums and over to the DIY/Consumer Forum, so it is worth taking a minute to add a little info about your experience level/background as a tax professional. Select edit at the top of the user page, replace the boilerplate with your own info, and then click Save page.
FYI - at some point in the past, it appears that you requested a name change from the moderator, Tim Doyle, and he changed your user name from Davepelzner to DMP. Unfortunately, if you sign in again later under the old user name, which it appears you did today, things can get a little confused - e.g., the old name shows up as creator of your new discussion, but when someone clicks on your user name, they are redirected to the DMP user page. So at the very least, you might want to add your user profile info to both pages. Or, if you decide you only want to use the new DMP name, you should sign out from the Davepelzner name and sign back in as DMP - it's likely the same password either way.
