Brian Andrews, VP Product Management, Intuit

Hello and welcome to TaxAlmanac!

My name is Brian Andrews, VP Product Management within Intuit's ProTax business unit. We are the creators of Lacerte, ProSeries Pro, ProSeries Express, ProSeries Basic, EasyACCT, Client Manager, Fixed Asset Manager, Lacerte & ProSeries Document Management System, and TaxAlmanac. I am also a part of the crew responsible for launching this site - a true labor of love!

Thank you for taking the time to come to site. Whether you are using the site to find important tax-related information to help you serve your clients, or you are here to join the TaxAlmanac corp and take an active role in contributing to this pioneering effort, your feedback on the site is greatly valued.

At Intuit, we are committed to listening and learning from you on how we can make the site better. I cannot guarantee that we will act on every suggestion, but I can assure you that each idea will be thoughtfully considered. Our passion for customer-driven innovation runs deep. We recognize that the best ideas come from our customers and their knowledge is vast. This is the fundamental philosophy behind the site - the collective knowledge of the community is more powerful than any one individual and we can learn from each other's experience, knowledge, and wisdom. This site will evolve greatly over the next few months in response to the community's ideas and passion.

Within a very short period of time, TaxAlmanac has created quite a buzz in the accounting and academic communities. TaxAlmanac has been cited several times in the major accounting trade pubs, Scott Cook, Intuit's founder, highlighted TaxAlmanac in his recent keynote addresses at the LA and NY accounting shows, our site has been featured on several blogs, and in the June 6th edition of Time, we were included in a story about the growth and power of on-line communities entitled "It's a Wiki, Wiki World." The November 21, 2005 edition of Business Week magazine featured an article titled "50 Smart Ways to Use the Web" in which TaxAlmanac was selected as one of the 50. TaxAlmanac made the short list as one of the 7 in the collaboration category. In June 2006, TaxAlmanac won an Innovation Award from CPA Technology Advisor.

Tim Doyle is our full-time, resident TaxAlmanac expert and host. He would be happy to learn from you. Select the "Email Support" or "Submit Feedback" links on the bottom of the Main Page and he will receive your ideas. If you wish, leave your phone number so he can reach you to better understand your insights, ideas or suggestions. We continue to drive improvements within the site to make TaxAlmanac an excellent solution to finding answers to tax questions... quickly and with confidence.

So again, thanks for becoming a part of history and helping us be the best we can be!
