My office is located in Sacramento, California, but I have clients throughout the Western part of the US, in Washington, Oregon, California, Arizona & Texas.
I started out in the life insurance business in 1984. I added a securities license in 1986 and a real estate license in 1990. I was the Chief Financial Officer for a local vehicle cosmetic repair franchisee for 4 1/2 years and then became the CFO for a national franchise for nearly two years. I am an Enrolled Agent. In the future, I plan on attending the National Tax Practice Institute.
My office staff consists of five individuals who assist me with a variety of client needs.
I am a member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents & the California Society of Enrolled Agents. I am also a member of the National Association of Tax Professionals, the National Society of Tax Professionals, the National Society of Accountants, and the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers. I have also been a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor since 1999.
I hold a Series 7 General Securities Registered Representative License and am affiliated with HD Vest Investment Services, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Wells Fargo Bank. Additionally, I have a California Life & Disability Agent's license and a California Real Estate Salesperson's license. I am also a California Notary Public and Certified Loan Signing Agent.
I enjoy working with small business owners and helping them grow their businesses through effective tax strategies designed to reduce their tax burden. I mostly focus on 1040, 1065, 1120 and 1120S. I also have a few 1041s and 990s that I prepare as well. Years and years and years of experience with payroll.
I certainly don't claim to be an expert in taxation. I try and improve my skills through CPE and additional reading and studying on my own. I especially enjoy reading Kiplinger's Tax Letter every two weeks along with other industry newsletters and journals. I continue to learn a lot by reading posts on this extremely valuable web site. It is an additional valuable and practical source for improving my skills as a tax practitioner.
