I am a semi-retired CPA. I worked for a large CPA firm several years and then in the construction industry for a few years. I have been on my own since 1980. A serious illness in 2000 forced me to cut back substantially, and I built separate office space onto our home so I didn't have to get out much. We have a large 160 year old home near the business district of a small city near Louisville, KY. I cut back again in 2006 getting rid of all monthly, quarterly and payroll work, along with most corporate returns. I keep a fairly full tax season schedule, but this year round work cuts to much into fishing time and track time at Keeneland and Churchill Downs. I also am fairly active in the stock market. My health has improved greatly, but semi-retired fits me just fine. By the way, semi-retired means-to lazy to work full time, but to poor to quit. Gerald
