I got my BSBA in accounting five years ago and now reside in Indiana with two small children and husband. Since graduating, I worked with HRB (for two weeks until the franchise owner asked me to sign a return I wasn't comfortable with), a small tax firm in Kendallville, IN, and worked as a cost accountant, then promoted to supervisor, for a Fortune 500 manufacturing firm.

This year, after 5 years of "taxes as a side job", I am taking on more clientele and finding that many of my lake-neighbors need a good accountant! I file taxes for individuals, small businesses, and nonprofits and use ProSeries Basic out of my home office. I also provide bookkeeping and payroll services remotely. Currently, I have 50 clients total and hope to increase that figure by 50% in 2009.

For better marketability and knowledge base, I will be taking the SEE this year! I passed Part I in June, Part II in September and am taking Part III in November! I have benefited tremendously from this forum and truly appreciate everyone on this site.
