I am an Oregon Licensed Tax Preparer, and co-owner of a small -- rather new -- tax office in Portland, Oregon. My partner is an Oregon Licensed Tax Consultant who has also passed the national CPA exam. We primarily specialize in individual tax returns, but also handle some smaller corporate returns, partnerships, etc. During the 9-month off season, my partner also takes on a certain amount of accounting work. I'm (slowly) studying for the EA exam, but since I handle all of the administrative and promotional work in the office -- in addition to a majority of the straight individual returns, and the vast majority of client interviews -- I'm not in a terrible hurry about it.
