Hello, My name is Neil Kepner and my office is located in De Kalb, Illinois. After retiring from the academic world in 1998, and since I held a current Illinois CPA license, I opened my office in that year. Prior to that time I did a fairly large number (about 200 or so) of tax returns from my home. Then, things got very busy following my departure from the University and I needed to either get a full time office or a divorce. I thought the office would be cheaper. I and an associate do over 600 returns per year and limit ourselves to tax issues. We do no write up work and the thought of independent audit work never enters our mind. I would be pleased to answer any inquiry anyone might have.
