Hello, my name is Heather Meyer and go by Meyerbooya. I am an accountant and CPA candidate in the state of Washington. I started my own accounting practice with a longtime friend and CPA. I keep on telling myself to get the exam done, but I think I always find excuses to not study. I will get it done soon though.

I began my career about 15 years ago for a small home builder. I was a practice manager and accountant for numerous veterinary hospitals in my area. I consulted in numerous clinics in the area for a few years before going back to school and achieving my BA in Accounting. Thought it looked better when I consulted. I enjoy taxation and am going to continue my education soon to hopefully obtain my J.D. in tax law.

I very much enjoy this forum. While I do not make a lot of contributions, it is nice when I have time to review the past entries and post some questions of my own. This type of forum is a benefit to our accounting community. It helps those of us who may not have a lot of experience in a particular area, or just get that confirmation that we were right when we have second-guessed ourselves.
