I have been preparing taxes since 1986. I bought my current business in 1991, when I quit all my other jobs and went into taxes full-time. I work out of my home, and am a sole practitioner. Even though I am not an EA or CPA, I feel it is important to maintain my skills by taking several continuing education courses every year.

I offer payroll and bookkeeping services to small businesses, and when they out-grow my expertise, I refer them on to a local CPA. I am a satisfied ProSeries user, having used it for the entire 20 years I've been doing taxes, starting back when it was owned by a company by the name of ChipSoft. It was called TurboTax back then.
