Hello, my name is Darren Dowdell and I go by the nickname AcadeTax. I have over 25 years experience in accounting, bookkeeping and tax preparation. I have run my own accounting firm called The Left Brain Accounting & Bookkeeping Services (theleftbrain.com) since 2003. I started my own tax preparation service called Acade Tax Services, LLC (acadetax.com) in 2008. I am an MBA and an Enrolled Agent and also an Advanced Certified Quickbooks ProAdvisor. I can offer soup to nuts services to businesses from startup and existing business consulting, bookkeeping, financial statement production and analysis through tax preparation and representation. I seperately branded the Tax services to go after the individual market. I am a member of NAEA (National Association of Enrolled Agents), NATP (National Association of Tax Professionals) and AIPB (American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers). My office is in Buffalo, NY.

I use Drake Software to prepare taxes, I used to use ProSeries, but I tried out Drake a few years back and haven't left since. Most prepareres don't leave Drake once they've switched, their customer service cannot be beaten. I'll be posting here when I think I can provide a good solution, helpful advice or just add my three cents (two after taxes).
