Numbered Lists

Use numbered (ordered) lists when the list items are in a required order (for example, chronological). Introduce the list with a lead-in sentence (the lead-in need not be a complete sentence; the list items can complete the lead-in). Punctuate the lead-in sentence with a colon.

1. Numbered Lists are easy to do:
2. Start every line with a number sign.
   1. Numbered lists are easy to read.
      1. Easy to follow.
3. List items are in a required order.

Here is the format to create a numbered list.

# Numbered Lists are easy to do: 

# Start every line with a number sign.

## Numbered lists are easy to read.

### Easy to follow.

# List items are in a required order.
