The forum should wait a longer time before "timing out". On several occasions it has timed out while I was writing a reply, causing me to have to log in again and in the process lose the posting (which, of course, was lengthy, well-thought out, and brilliant . . . ie, hard to reproduce) . . .

David: Here's some info from an old post from Tim Doyle, which was written for those having issues staying logged in, that says you should check the box to "remember me" when you first log in, and then you can also change your preferences on TaxAlmanac to "remember me across sessions." Try those, and see if they help.

Also, I've found that if I try to save a reply but for whatever reason it won't post, if I hit the back button on my browser, it often returns me to the page where my draft post was - allowing me to hit save page again (and sometimes it then posts what I'd written), or worst case, copy my text and paste it to a word doc to save, or to the same discussion again once I've logged in again (if that's what the problem was).
