Hi - I'm wondering if anyone else had this problem and can advise me on what to do. I prepared and e-filed a federal extension for a client. When I went to e-file their completed MA state return (for a refund), an error showed saying that it could not be e-filed until the process of filing of the extension was completed. Not understanding why, but going along with it, I waited the 24 hours for the process to be completed. The state return still shows this error and will not allow me to e-file. Any advice on what to do or should I give up and mail the return? |

I had an issue in trying to file a Ma return last week. Have you spoken to the Tech @ Intuit?
It had something to do with the software and they were able to solve the problem. |

I had this problem after filing an extension and trying to file a KY return. After the extension has been accepted you need to unmake the block to file the Federal extension then you should be able to e-file the state return, if MA allow state only filing. |
