We've battered Intuit a bit this year, usually deservedly so (but sometimes unfairly due to last minute tax changes they can't control...), but one thing that is new this year that I've meant to praise....THE LOVELY PINK BOXES! I love these!! Having done my first 990-PF (and I have to thank you all for so much encouragement on that...ahem Image:surprise.jpg), those pink boxes made that learning task so much easier. And when I catch them as I'm going by something I realized that there's something missing and can go back. That's a huge help. And I want to sit up and say thank you. Now, as to switching printers....

lol, I think you have lost it friend.

P.S. I meant to ask you but didn't want to pollute your other thread, what is a 990-Pf?? :p

990-Private Foundation, an entirely different animal than a usual 990, which is difficult enough. But it's doable if you're caught up on other stuff, the phone's are quiet, and you've got good research bases and IRS instructions up. 13 page form, half of which are non-applicable questions!

I know what you mean, JR....almost makes up for having a gazillion forms in the Forms in Use bar at the side of the screen, half it seems with red error messages. I've taken to using the minimize approach with that abomination.

What are pink boxes?

Jokadah - You can turn on "color" for fields with missing info in Tools/Options. I like the pink boxes, too, and I really like the red errors on the left. It's easier than clicking Ctrl-E to bring up the error-checking window.

Show Field Color under General in Options.

My forms in use bar suddenly disappeared a few weeks ago. I didn't like it and didn't use it so am glad it's gone but I am wondering which button I pushed.

Click "View" at the top and then click "Forms Bar" to toggle on and off. When it's on, you can right-click in the Forms Bar and click "Close Forms Bar."

Thanks Deb. Now I found it. I had enlarged my forms and it was covering the bar
