Hi All,

I was wondering if someone could point me towards some authority on deduction personal bad debt from a related party. I am aware of the qualifications for deducting personal bad debt, but am unclear on weather the fact that the loan was made to a related party somehow changes things.

Thanks.

C'mon, Kevin, are you sure there isn't some court decision pending?

I have been trying to prove what you said earlier, that nothing changes if the loan was to a related party and am having trouble finding authority.
