How nice: a military pension and "consulting" fees. [1] Taxpayers pay for their coming and going.

When planning a career change, I'm sure, these generals never faced a conflict of interest they could not resolve favorably.

My brother-in-law once owned a cigar store situated in an area with multiple military bases. The officers clubs in the area kept him in high clover with their big, devil may care cigar orders.

That's what the colonels and generals today mean by a live fire exercise. Its when they all get together over their single malt Scotches and fire up their cigars.
