I recently reactivated my NY CPA license. I have a list of approved CPE providers from the NYS website. While there are many approved providers, it seems there are relatively few that are approved for ethics. I signed up for a webinar from Bloomberg/BNA about circular 230, advertised as "CPE ethics" and took the test, and received the credit. After the fact I looked at the list, and it seems Bloomberg/BNA is not approved by NYS for ethics credits (but approved for everything else). Isn't this odd? Is anyone else finding this to be a problem?
