I know for me to file an extension I must make a payment electronically for a client. I don't see the 2013 IT-370 form on the NYS website for a client to file his own extension with payment. All they have is the link to make an online payment. Any thoughts?

I think that is the only option. My software, CCH Prosystem FX, doesn't even offer the form on its menu of NYS forms. Are you concerned about having to pay online? I think that's your only option. Unless you show a zero balance due with the extension and pay when the return is filed.

What are you trying to do? Are you making the extension? Or will the client be extending themselves?

I am from NY if that helps.
