Often people have left me messages that really are more suitable as discussion forum topics. Is there a way to move a topic from my user page to a discussion topic easier than cutting-and-pasting? -- Larry Hess, CPA, Albuquerque, NM - Talk to me

Also, when they don't leave their signature, we have no way of letting them know the answer or that we have moved their question. "HEY, who moved my cheese????"

Kevin, I look at the history tab to see who posted the question. -- Larry Hess, CPA, Albuquerque, NM - Talk to me

I never thought of that. Thanks.

People often post questions in the "article" area as well, and I move them here. I let them know where I moved it and how they can find it.

Keep in mind that you are free to edit your user and talk pages as you like. The link box that we add doesn't have to be there, but I prefer that you not leave it empty. You could, for example, add text on your talk page which asks users to please post any tax related question in the forum instead of directly to you.
