I have a client that is getting older and had her eggs frozen to preserve her eggs as her age will begin to make her eggs less viable. She is hoping to have children in the future. It appears personal but infertility costs are deductable. Anyone out there have any knowledge on this one?

This is the kind of question that makes you pray that the expense and other medical expenses won't top the 7.5% of AGI.

Deb - What really makes D&T's comment funny is that it's something that only one knowledgeable in the tax craft would understand (both in the practical and technical sense).

But here in Jersey you can deduct medical if it tops 2% of income. Thinking about the expense, I don't see why it shouldn't be deductible. It is not plastic surgery or other self-improvement.
