I did them out of order and saved the WORST (the Business section) for last! I did the other 2 in February of 2011, and naively thought I'd be done with the final one before last year's tax season. Not even! The Business section has an unbelievable amount of difficult concepts that could be part of just a 100-question exam. But, after 15 months of having little or almost no social life, I'm happy to be finished.

I've appreciated the help I've gotten here, and hope to have more time to drop in and see what's going on. The brain power that can be tapped into with just a click of a mouse is amazing. Thanks!  :)

Congrats, now fill out Form 23. I did it online, and would recommend the online version, just remember to Fax your "passed" conforimations.

Congrats OCNumberz!

WCMirtes, it didn't say anywhere on the form to fax in those confirmations...now I'm worried I should have mailed those in with my application..

Thanks, all, for your support!  :) I did mail Form 23 last Saturday. It was about the EASIEST IRS form I have ever seen! Somehow, I thought fingerprinting was involved, but I guess we already did that to get our EFIN's.

I had read in TaxWriter's Passkey EA Review Complete book that the typical 60-day approval process went faster if you sent in your 'pass' sheets. So I put one more stamp on my envelope and included copies. So far, I've gotten a lot more work just with passing...nothing I do right now depends on the actual EA card. But it will be nice to have something other than CTRP (CTEC CA Registered Tax Preparer) after my name!  :)
