I'm a huge Seahawks fan. It was weird to watch the SB on TV after watching the last regular season game and both playoff games in person.

Now what? As a Seattle sports fan, I've become so accustomed to disappointment I'm a little lost. Is there any sage advice from fans of other teams who've experienced success? And don't tell me baseball season is starting soon. I'd like to keep that thought out of my mind as long as possible.

Title fooled me. Around here, Hawks means St. Joe's basketball.

As to disappointment, all I can say is that our local team is the Eagles. Check the history.

I feel your pain Len.

I'm an Eagles fan living in Patriots country.

One bright side is never being tempted to buy Super Bowl tickets or merchandise!

The last good game I can remember in Atlanta was in the early 60s: a Georgia Tech football game when they had quite a tradition. Even though my father held Falcon season tickets for years (he sat with a dubious group of individuals all in the wholesale food business and all associated with gambling in some fashion), and I went to probably 10 games with him, my only memory of the whole thing is that we always lost a preseason game to the Rams. My dad's friends were interesting though.

Need I mention the Braves and their continual success at getting so, so close but hardly ever ejaculating?

And when I saw Hawks, I thought you could be writing of the Atlanta Hawks....but then I said to myself, no...no...that would not be possible in this or any other universe. So don't feel so bad, at least you don't live in Atlanta. (Oh, did I mention? I "think" we have a hockey team too.) It's always "next year" down this way.

P.S. I see now that the Seahawks actually won the Super Bowl. The Falcons have won one Super Bowl. It's wise not to get too excited.

It is so hard to get back. Seattle is naturally best odds to win again, but all the other teams will be having their 'mini SB' when they play them during the season. A few injuries here, an arrest for murder there, suddenly your team is on the edge. Fantastic that the Patriots got so far, but at some point the next man up doesn't work when no one's there! Seattle has a young team and fantastic D which seems to be the edge over offense in the playoffs.

The great thing about being in Boston is there's always hope with one of the teams...well a bit of a wait for the Celtics now, but we've had so many great years with all of them. You have to appreciate it while you have it.

Oh well, football season is over, that means tax season starts.

As I read more about this, I feel that Cook's lostness is well justified. I am personally convinced that the Bronco's threw the game. Some cartel from a small island nation infiltrated them. I also understand that 100 million poeple watched the game...for how long I don't know. Wherever 100 million people are, I won't be. I can understand the ardent fans and the people who had money on the game and their desire to watch....but all other viewers can give no sufficient account of themselves to suit me.

I'm from Seattle but I left before the Seahawks arrived. Keep in mind, this is Seattle's only major championship since the SuperSonics dominated basketball in my youth. For one year. And now there are no Sonics.

I like to go watch the Mariners lose when I'm up there on a visit during the season but that's about the limit of my involvement.

Then and now, excited fans can't burn the city down...too wet!

It would have been a better SB if Denver had been able to attend. Their bus must have broken down or something.
