For once, journalism gets into something without making bogeyman or villians out of anyone. Makes you wonder, did Bubba Gump pay taxes?

While I can't condone running a cash based business to avoid taxes, don't think that BP didn't realize that asking for these records would limit their payments. They were well aware that these people were poor recordkeepers, and knew that asking for tax returns would make the claims process nearly impossible.

P.S. I'm fighting the good fight. I used the restroom at a BP today, and didn't even buy any gas...oh, and I left a spill that will take them months to remediate.
