Is a chicken farm. Client received 70K grant from government to build a warehouse. It costed 77K when the completed.

Shall I treat grant 70K as income? or I just using 7k (77K-70K) as cost basis for warehouse depreciation?

Thanks a lot!

If you type "grants" into the yellow search box, many discussions and some articles will pop up. If they do not answer the question, expand your facts and ask again.
