Does anyone know if the AMT carryforward transfers to spouse or trust at death, or is it similiar to the cap gains carryforward losses?

You are talking about the AMT credit, I think. It's not the same, but in a divorce 10 years ago, I called a specialist at IRS in Washington regarding passive loss carryforwards, D Loss c/fs and this issue. The passive and D went with the person who created it, but he felt the AMT credit was negotiable in the divorce....he could cite no authority at that time, but it was his feeling.
