I am considering retiring from my day job and doing taxes full time. My question is where do you get your health insurance from? A group you belong to? Private Health Insurance?

Thanks,

Dusty

"Times are bad. Children no longer obey their parents, and everyone is writing a book." Cicero.

Seriously, welcome to the frat! Check out affinity-like programs run by Chambers of Commerce, but usually these require small groups. Maybe you could hire your wife and set up a two person group; that is what I did but we were not married then, but I could continue the group after marriage by keeping two single policies. This is often better and cheaper.

Can you cobra your current health insurance? Or you can look at health insurance through many of the major companies....self employed health insurance or group plan if you have employees.
