| Probably not sophisticated enough to understand the implications of getting a 1099. Of course, the IMF sent out numerous reminders and directions on handling a 1099. Oh, well. It's not like he will be running the IRS or anything. | |

| The oddity is that from what I have seen, many of these quasi-government agencies do not use 1099s.....not that it excuses this. Maybe he uses Bernie Madoff's CPA firm. | |

| He runs the NY fed reserve bank! Maybe that's why there's many problems. As treasury sec he s/b beyond reproach. The irs is a division of the treasury.
