Probably not sophisticated enough to understand the implications of getting a 1099. Of course, the IMF sent out numerous reminders and directions on handling a 1099. Oh, well. It's not like he will be running the IRS or anything.

The oddity is that from what I have seen, many of these quasi-government agencies do not use 1099s.....not that it excuses this. Maybe he uses Bernie Madoff's CPA firm.

He runs the NY fed reserve bank! Maybe that's why there's many problems. As treasury sec he s/b beyond reproach. The irs is a division of the treasury.
