I am not sure what Work Papers are. I keep some notes on some of my clients inside my program under notes. Would sure appreciate some input.

Work papers would be things like trial balances you make, depreciation schedules, the F/S, client interview notes, written advice to the client, stuff like that.

Agreed. Also includes Journal Entries (be sure to have a memo explaining what you did). Very important to keep your notes. They can remind you of why you did certain things and can help when a CPA asks why you did something. My client interview notes from 2001 are helping a client defend himself against a greedy ex-wife. (Client and his attorney are positively giddy that I still have my handwritten notes.)
