The boss wants me to compile a list and write a letter to all of our clients regarding the changes in Tax for 2008. I have searched here and the IRS website but I can't find a nice list for 2008, only 2007. I did find this

http://www.clarkfinancial.com/21_tax_changes.html

but I am not sure if it is completely accurate and up to date. Can anyone provide me with a link that shows all the changes for 2008 Tax?

Thanks.

Presumably you are talking about changes in personal income tax. Go to your internet browser and in the search engine type the words 2008 personal income tax law changes. This will be a good start and will yield a plethora of information but won't include all as new bills are enacted into law frequently. Just last week I believe there was new tax laws dealing with miliatry and farm law.

Dpum: Go to the main branch of your public library and check their reference section, you might be quite surprised by what you find. Talk to the reference librarian and pick his/her brain. I probably sound like a broken record on this, but our main branch has an excellent tax section, kept up to date. Part of this includes a newsletter for tax professionals from CCH that not only details law changes, but even provides a form letter for use in informing clients. If your county library does not have it, check the next county over. Be persistent, and actually go along the shelves in reference to see what they have. You are more likely to get what you want at the main branch, not some neighborhood branch. If they don't have the most recent volumes and updates out, ask, because often they will have them in the back waiting to be processed to put on the floor.

You just never know what your tax dollars are already paying for: for you!
