| Will an incorrect employer address on a W-2 cause a return to be rejected when efiled? The employer is a corporation with 2 locations. The original location address is where the SS-4 was filed. The address on the W-2 is the second location. | |

| To which address have the payroll tax forms and prior paper submissions been shown on the forms?
Have the tax authorities been notified of the latest change of address? If it differs, it will reject. | |

| I have never seen a E file reject due to an incorrect address. Only an incorrect tax id number. We E file over 2,000 returns. I am sure that I have made at least 1 typo error in that section of input. | |

| I agree with DZCPA, he answered while I was trying to find my password. | |

| A matter of fact. You can put a "dot" on the address line and it will work. | |

| Thanks guys. I didn't think that the address would cause rejection, but something came up that made me question it. Thanks for your responses. It's nice to have an avenue to bounce questions and ideas around. | |

| As long as the EIN number matches the employers name, its fine. If anything, the EIN number must boe correct. | |
