| Does anyone have experience with advising travel agents as to when their information gathering trips might be deductible business expenses vs, personal travel, and how to document this?
Thanks. | |

| Apply the facts and circumstances to Sec. 162(a)(2). One thing for sure, Sec. 274(m)(2)(3) will not work. I believe the FAM (familiarization) trip now and then used to be acceptable with good documentation and intent.
Regarding documentation for a FAM, for example, how many business cards were personally distributed. Show me the pictures taken. How will this trip enhance the business. How was this trip used in advertising - etc. | |
