This new client lost 12K on a timeshare property. He had to get rid of it. I put it on Sch D w/ 0 at sales price, 12K basis. The loss isn't flowing over to the 1040, is there any specific reason?

the loss was personal, shouldn't be allowable as a deduction.

Thought so (this was a question by my sister, and thast what I figured, sch d=investment opportunities, timeshare that wasnt an investment = sorry about your luck)
