| Does anybody else get that big white (sometimes black) square covering almost your entire desktop when you launch Lacerte? The thing renders your computer inoperable for a good 45 seconds. You can't do anything except stare at the stupid square.

| Very funny! I emailed them 2 questions last week. No response, called after 6 days.....the tech support told me they were about a week behind. Remember before Intuit purchased them? It was a 24 hr turnaround.

| I did get a black screen today, but I don't remember if it was when I opened Lacerte or something else. I'll have to pay closer attention next time.

| I get it regularly...not sure if it's EVERY time. I just attributed it to my 'old' computer that's about to be replaced with the new Dell/dual monitor/quad processor I bought - with XP of course. Glad to know it's not just me with the Lacerte black box issue.

| I think this has something to do with the resources of the computer. I have noticed I sometimes get a big white screen with Excel and QBs. When you see the white screen, can you still tell what program is working (up at the top of the screen)?

| Is the window you are opening Lacerte in minimized? I think the reason mine takes up the full screen is because that's how I have the window set up. Actually, yours is different because it doesn't tell the name of the program at the top.
