Post removed under the guidelines and policies of TaxAlmanac. For more information, refer to this page: TaxAlmanac, specifically the part about "TaxAlmanac is not a forum for fillibusters on the appropriateness nor the legality of the US tax system."

Sorry I can spell government, I'm just dyslexic

This sounds like some sort of tax protest position. It doesn't belong here. Tim, I hope you'll delete it.

@Taxcurmudgeon

As I said, if this post is in an inappropriate forum, then move it. Otherwise, in a nation where the government is for the people, I think this is completely valid consideration. @Beth Thanks, anywhere in particular on the website? Perhaps some good keywords or topics?

Your concerns seem very broad and the gao website is full of all kinds of stuff. You might just start poking around and see what you dig up.

This isn't an appropriate place to make a political diatribe. We're too tired to fight :) And taxes are not investments, they are income transfers.

I think you might like to look through Adam Smith's "The Wealth of Nations".

You might also enjoy browsing thru:

Happy hunting!

GMD - the only people I know of who have ever used a word like oligarchy in general use would have been a student. Are you fishing to get a term paper prepared?
